Amani Health & Wellness is a personalized medical practice where the focus is on YOU! Most of us live busy lives focused on everyone else's needs - children, parents, partner/spouse. We work long hours, drink lots of caffeine, struggle with sleep, and worry excessively. When we get diagnosed with an illness, we often don't have time to consider what factors could have contributed to the illness. We only have time to swallow a pill, or a handful of pills, and move on. Unlocking our health potential is dependent on understanding the connection between our external world and our mind & body. Medical technology is valuable in detecting disease, while time, discussion, support, and personalized care are valuable in creating wellbeing. MEET DR. ROSENFELD
Shyama Rosenfeld is board certified in family medicine. She completed her undergraduate degree in International Studies at George Mason University (intending to become a journalist). She attended medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her residency in Family Practice at the George Washington University Hospital. She served as chief resident during her final year.
Dr. Rosenfeld has more than 20 years experience in both outpatient and inpatient medicine. She is passionate about teaching and has helped train family practice residents at two residency programs, medical students from the University of Virginia, and PA/NP students from JMU and Shenandoah University. Dr. Rosenfeld is a volunteer & medical director at the Sinclair Health Clinic.
Outside of medicine she enjoys yoga, meditation, and spending time with family & friends.
